Principal Technical Consultant (AI)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; expected to work in the office 4–5 days per week. Travel of up to 20% annually may be required for customer engagements.

Base salary: $100,000–$225,000 USD annually, plus potential discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead post-sales software implementation projects across the full lifecycle, from requirements definition and solution design through development and production launch.
• Build custom process applications, relational data models, APIs, and integrations on the hirify.global platform.
• Identify AI use cases and implement AI capabilities using RAG, agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and generative models.
• Work with client technical teams and business users to understand processes, solve technical needs, and drive adoption.
• Partner with hirify.global Architects and Technical Delivery Managers while leading and mentoring consultants.
• Help clients become self-sufficient in building process applications.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on software development or technical consulting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience leading teams through post-sale software implementations and mentoring others.
• Ability to gather functional and technical requirements and work with clients to define business processes.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational databases, data modeling, SQL, software testing, continuous integration, and agile methodologies.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JDBC connections, and web services; familiarity with cloud, AI, analytics, machine learning, and application integration technologies is preferred.
