Senior Drawing Checker (SolidWorks)

What you will do

• Review engineering drawings and MBD datasets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASME Y14 and internal standards.
• Validate dimensions, GD&T, tolerances, notes, materials, finishes, revision history, title blocks, part numbers, and document properties.
• Verify links between 3D models, drawings, metadata, configuration management, and release requirements.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between models and drawings in collaboration with designers and engineers.
• Maintain and improve drafting standards, MBD guidelines, templates, checklists, and release processes.
• Communicate risks and quality issues, support agile project management practices, and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience creating and checking manufacturing-ready engineering drawings to ASME Y14 standards.
• 10+ years of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD experience producing models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Strong command of GD&T, drawing deliverables, document properties, title blocks, and release documentation.
• Experience with configuration management, release workflows, drafting-process improvement, and mentoring designers or engineers.
• Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, meet tight deadlines, and communicate with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency.
