Salary: $152,100–$190,100 base pay per year

What you will do

  • Review engineering drawings, CAD models, and documentation against company, industry, and regulatory standards.
  • Verify compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T and ASME Y14 drafting standards, design intent, producibility, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Identify and document errors, inconsistencies, and missing information, then provide correction recommendations to design engineers.
  • Validate CAD models and metadata before release and support drawing release in PLM systems such as Teamcenter, Windchill, and Enovia.
  • Coordinate with Configuration Management on effectivity, baselines, change notices, and configuration control issues.
  • Participate in tolerance stack-up and interface checks and contribute to improvements in drawing quality and release efficiency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience producing, reviewing, or checking engineering drawings or model-based definition in aerospace, automotive, or other complex product environments.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as NX, CATIA, Creo, or equivalent.
  • Experience with PLM systems, including Teamcenter, Windchill, or Enovia.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Y14.5 GD&T and ASME Y14 drafting standards.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and metadata and apply tolerance analysis and drawing release processes.
  • Ability to collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, and configuration management teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with an aerospace OEM or tier 1 supplier and large-scale product development and release processes.
  • Background in aerospace design engineering, flight or test hardware, or ground support equipment drawings.
  • Familiarity with model-based definition, digital thread practices, design for manufacturability, and producibility.
  • Experience with tolerance stack-up, interface analysis, or mentoring junior engineers and drafters.
