What you will do

  • Lead the development, authorship, technical review, and quality control of complex licensing documents, including Safety Analysis Reports and Environmental Reports.
  • Define regulatory engagement plans, technical justifications, and licensing pathways for the Natrium project.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams preparing responses to NRC audits and requests for additional information.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, project management, partners, and contractors to maintain regulatory compliance through design development and configuration control.
  • Lead interactions with regulatory agencies and review correspondence for final approval recommendations.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level licensing engineers and contribute to the long-term licensing strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably nuclear or civil engineering, or equivalent experience; an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • 15–20+ years of experience in nuclear licensing or a closely related field, including significant involvement in NRC construction permit and operating license applications.
  • Extensive experience interpreting U.S. NRC 10 CFR regulations and associated guidance.
  • Deep understanding of nuclear reactor design, operation, and safety principles.
  • Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to manage complex deadlines independently.
  • Strong quality assurance, communication, collaboration, and regulatory representation skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Professional.
