Principal Technical Recruiter (Semiconductor)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Base salary: $166,500–$185,000 per year, depending on experience, level, and business need. Additional discretionary bonus, incentives, and benefits may be available.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end recruiting for hardware, silicon, and semiconductor engineering roles.
• Source, engage, and close passive candidates for specialized and hard-to-fill positions.
• Partner with hiring managers and engineering leaders to define requirements, calibrate talent, and develop search strategies.
• Advise leadership on semiconductor hiring trends, compensation, competitive intelligence, and workforce planning.
• Improve recruiting efficiency and quality through sourcing strategies, analytics, documentation, playbooks, and interview guides.
• Champion inclusive hiring practices and deliver a strong candidate experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience with a record of closing technical and engineering roles.
• Direct recruiting experience in hardware, semiconductors, silicon, or comparable technical fields.
• Demonstrated success sourcing and closing passive candidates in competitive markets.
• Strong consultative partnership skills and the ability to advise and influence senior engineering leaders.

Nice to have

• Experience recruiting for analog, digital, firmware, verification, physical design, or systems engineering roles.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor and AI infrastructure talent markets.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, and recruiting analytics.
• Experience in a hyper-growth or fast-paced technology environment.
• Experience leading strategic planning, process improvement, and recruiting documentation initiatives.
