Manager of Structural & Geotechnical Engineering (Solar Energy)

What you will do

• Lead and manage structural, geotechnical, and operations engineering teams, including mentoring, training, workload prioritization, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee structural and civil engineering design for utility-scale solar tracker projects.
• Supervise tracker layouts, foundation calculations, mechanical sets, and civil construction plan sets.
• Perform and review structural analysis and foundation design based on site conditions.
• Lead value engineering activities to reduce project costs and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate design standards, product modifications, cross-functional initiatives, and team KPI development.

Requirements

• MSc in Civil Engineering or an equivalent master's degree.
• Fluent English and Spanish, written and spoken, are mandatory.
• 7–10 years of relevant professional experience in the utility-scale solar industry.
• Experience managing and leading engineering teams, with strong leadership and conflict-resolution skills.
• Advanced expertise in structural analysis and foundation calculation tools, with knowledge of Eurocodes and international civil design regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and standard structural frameworks, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or other programming languages for engineering automation.
• Knowledge of advanced geotechnical analysis or data visualization tools such as Power BI.
