Senior Software Development Engineer

Develops Beacon Cloud software for financial clients, including developer tools, runtime execution systems, coding libraries, and financial-layer models.

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain clear, well-structured, well-tested software.
• Develop Beacon Cloud developer tools, including IDE integration, code review, test frameworks, and release processes.
• Work on runtime execution systems such as batch and supercomputer schedulers, containerization, coding libraries, dependency graphs, and deal models.
• Implement unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end automated testing.
• Lead design and feature discussions focused on performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers, coordinate cross-functional integration, and resolve production incidents.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience using Python or other object-oriented programming languages.
• Excellent proficiency in Python and strong command of a typed, object-oriented programming language.
• Deep knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and common architectural patterns.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, organizational, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver results within deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript.
• Experience with Rust or familiarity with C++.
• Experience in the financial domain.
