Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Location: London, hybrid with 40% office attendance

What you will do

• Own the full software development lifecycle from requirements and design through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Design, build, and operate backend services, APIs, integrations, reporting, and data-focused systems.
• Manage production systems through monitoring, debugging, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver changes frequently and safely while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science colleagues to shape data-driven product capabilities.
• Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Solid production backend experience with Python.
• Experience building and operating backend systems end to end.
• Experience building and operating systems on AWS.
• Experience with Test Driven Development and automated testing.
• Experience with pair programming or other collaborative development practices.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and trade-offs clearly to different audiences.
