Specialist Software Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Cambridge office, United Kingdom; hybrid attendance required two days per week

What you will do

• Provide technical direction and leadership for rapid prototypes and structured platform development.
• Advance methodologies for detecting and defending against unknown cyber-attacks.
• Define strategic visions for specialized technical areas and align them with business objectives.
• Develop production-quality software using multiple programming languages and technologies.
• Mentor team members in core engineering competencies and specialized technology areas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and executive teams on technical strategy, project progress, and company initiatives.

Requirements

• Extensive programming expertise and the ability to architect and deliver production-quality solutions.
• Strong knowledge of or deep interest in cybersecurity and malware forensics.
• Experience with statistical analysis of static or dynamic systems.
• Proficiency with Docker, cloud computing environments, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript, Rust, and C++.
• Knowledge of software architecture and design patterns, with the ability to work autonomously and make strategic decisions.
