Cost Accountant

Salary: $63,200–$92,800 per year

What you will do

• Prepare cost accounting reports covering COGS, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Analyze inventory and COGS trends and provide cost insights to business partners.
• Complete monthly close activities, including journal entries, consolidation and elimination entries, trial balance reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review domestic and foreign operating company financial statements and prepare quarterly analysis deliverables.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, finance, and other business partners to support cost efficiencies and strategic initiatives.
• Prepare quarterly external reporting deliverables and support internal and external audits.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in public accounting and/or relevant industry accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work at a desk for extended periods; occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP and OneStream.
