Sales Engineer (Accounting/Fintech)

Location: Must be based in or able to work from the NYC office

Compensation: $100,000 – $225,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Lead value-based product demonstrations for prospects, focusing on month-end close, audit, and tax workflows.
• Serve as the finance expert, addressing technical accounting, compliance, and integration questions.
• Own security and IT questionnaires and guide prospects through technical due diligence.
• Drive technical qualification and run structured evaluations to identify high-potential opportunities.
• Partner with Account Executives on strategy for complex enterprise deals.
• Ensure smooth handoffs to post-sales teams through clear knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, or Private Equity.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to both executive and accounting stakeholders.
• Process-oriented mindset with the ability to break down complex problems into repeatable steps.
• Must be an office lover who prefers in-person collaboration in the NYC office.
• First principles reasoning and a proactive, company-builder mindset.

Nice to have

• Early-stage startup experience.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, Bill.com, or Ramp.
