Salary: $99,054–$148,582 per year, based on the Wyoming market and candidate qualifications.

What you will do

  • Operate, commission, and monitor mechanical, electrical, process, instrumentation, and control systems at the Test and Fill Facility.
  • Perform system walkdowns, functional testing, startup, shutdown, transient operations, and turnover activities.
  • Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support reliability improvements.
  • Develop, review, and maintain operating procedures, maintenance instructions, operational logs, and configuration-controlled records.
  • Support system modifications, equipment installation, upgrades, drawing updates, and engineering design reviews.
  • Follow safety protocols, participate in hazard analyses and pre-job briefs, and support DOE/NRC and industrial safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent military or industrial experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial operations, power generation, test facilities, chemical processing, or similar high-consequence environments.
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience working with structured procedures and configuration-controlled environments.
  • Strong safety record and safety-first mindset.

Nice to have

  • Experience with nuclear systems, sodium-cooled systems, or inert gas systems.
  • Commissioning and system turnover experience.
  • Knowledge of PLC/DCS industrial control systems and CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.
  • Military nuclear propulsion or similarly disciplined operational experience.
  • Welding, fabrication, or mechanical modification experience.
