Test Engineer - Development (Nuclear Hardware)

Salary: $80,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain custom test solutions and data acquisition systems for in-house mechanical and electrical hardware.
• Lead design reviews, define and execute hardware test plans, and perform data analysis.
• Build test equipment and implement test automation for development and qualification testing.
• Analyze failures and execute qualification campaigns to validate hardware designs.
• Work with design and manufacturing engineers to drive long-term reliability improvements.
• Visit vendors and support test setup and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 2 years of experience in hardware development, test engineering, or a similar role.
• Ability to design and fabricate test fixtures, adapters, and other testing tools.
• Experience with digital hardware communication and integration.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
• Experience with data acquisition, instrumentation, pumps, valves, and automation equipment.
• Experience building and testing fluid or electrical systems.
