Company

hirify.global is a Series C clean-energy startup developing mass-producible, inherently safe microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and operate bespoke test stands and rigs for heat-pipe components and assemblies.
  • Develop end-to-end test plans covering instrumentation, execution, pass/fail criteria, and data analysis.
  • Create test schedules and lead test design, readiness, and results reviews.
  • Design and maintain test setups, schematics, CAD models, fixtures, and sensor systems.
  • Define testing processes for prototype, qualification, and production hardware.
  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on test engineering experience; senior-level candidates may have 5+ years.
  • Experience designing assemblies and test fixtures with CAD.
  • Experience integrating test instrumentation such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, strain gauges, relays, and solenoid valves.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required for critical milestones, and to perform the listed physical activities including lifting 25 pounds.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee, or be eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations under export regulations.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or higher in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience building test rigs and performing thermal, mechanical, durability, materials, thermal-management, heat-rejection, or vacuum-relevant testing.
  • Experience with LabVIEW, Simulink, Python, or similar test software.
  • Experience with project leadership, cross-disciplinary communication, part inspection technologies, PLM, ERP, or manufacturing systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Significant stock option package in addition to salary.
  • Work is centered around in-person collaboration at a 322,000-square-foot R&D and production facility.
  • Values include systems thinking, end-user focus, challenging convention, going where the work is, and operating in ambiguity.
  • Opportunities to work on advanced nuclear-energy systems supporting terrestrial, defense, NASA, and space applications.
