Trade Flow Support - Trading Application Support (Trading)

Location: London, Montreal, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, or Houston

Salary: Minimum base salary of $100,000 per year when located in New York; discretionary bonuses and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Manage pre-trading and post-trading readiness across the global trading platform.
• Monitor end-to-end transaction flows, investigate alerts and issues, and escalate incidents to minimize trading impact.
• Create incident reports and coordinate with traders, back-office operations, brokers, exchanges, development, and infrastructure teams.
• Support application deployments, network implementations, server maintenance, scheduled jobs, automated processes, and regular reports.
• Manage user requests through approval, tracking, updates, resolution, and closure.
• Identify manual or inefficient workflows and drive improvements through automation and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience supporting trade flows and trading applications.
• Proficiency with Linux, Bash, and a scripting language such as Python or Perl.
• Practical knowledge of FIX and experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, multicast, tcpdump, and clock synchronization with PTP or NTP is advantageous.
• Experience with the Atlassian stack, Elastic Stack, and Nagios; ITIL knowledge is advantageous.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with strong communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kdb+.
• Experience with native exchange protocols.
• Knowledge of ITIL.
