Front Office Application Support – ETRM

Location: Houston, United States

Salary: USD 75,000–130,000 per year; no bonuses.

What you will do

• Provide senior-level technical and functional support to traders, schedulers, quants, and risk teams.
• Support the Orchestrade Go Live, migration, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Ensure stability across the trade lifecycle, from trade capture through end-of-day processing.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the ETRM landscape and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Monitor and validate P&L, risk exposures, positions, market data, pricing, and risk limits.
• Coordinate with development, QA, infrastructure, data, and global support teams while documenting procedures and mentoring analysts.

Requirements

• 3–15 years of experience in front-office support, trade support, or application support within energy trading.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Linux or Unix, and scripting; Python is useful.
• Ability to manage incidents, priorities, and time-critical operations under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with senior trading staff.
• Experience with P&L validation, risk monitoring, trade lifecycle support, and real-time operational topics.
• Knowledge of North American power markets, ideally including ERCOT, is beneficial.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Orchestrade or another ETRM platform such as Endur, Allegro, or RightAngle.
• Python development or scripting experience.
• Cloud exposure with AWS or Azure.
• Experience supporting real-time trading, telemetry, or scheduling workflows.
