Aligne/ETRM Platform Support Engineer (Energy Trading)

Location: Houston, Texas; hybrid with at least 3 days onsite per week. During the first 3 months of onboarding, the client may require 5 days onsite per week.

Salary: USD $110,000–$140,000 annually

What you will do

• Support the transition from FIS Aligne to Orchestrade and provide day-to-day production and operational support.
• Provide L2/L3 support for commodity trading, risk management, scheduling, settlements, invoicing, valuation, and back-office operations.
• Investigate application, configuration, data, workflow, batch, performance, market-data, and P&L issues using SQL/Oracle, Unix/Linux tools, and log analysis.
• Monitor EOD/EOM processing, Control-M/Autosys workflows, integrations, APIs, messaging, SFTP, and file-based interfaces.
• Perform incident triage, root-cause analysis, problem management, change and release management, upgrades, testing, and production validation.
• Coordinate with traders, risk, scheduling, settlements, accounting, developers, DBAs, infrastructure teams, and vendor support.

Requirements

• Professional experience with FIS Aligne and ETRM platforms.
• Knowledge of commodity or energy trading and the complete trade lifecycle.
• Experience with L2/L3 production or application support, SQL, Oracle, Unix/Linux, and shell scripting.
• Experience with batch processing, Control-M or Autosys, REST/SOAP APIs, XML/JSON, and SFTP.
• Knowledge of market data, risk, valuation, P&L, settlements, ServiceNow, ITIL, and incident/change/release management.
• Ability to work in Houston, Texas, with regular onsite attendance.

Nice to have

• Experience in energy or commodity trading environments involving physical and financial commodities.
• Experience with EOD/EOM processing, application upgrades, automation using Python or Shell, and vendor management.
