NPI Engineer (Semiconductor Hardware)

What you will do

• Own manufacturing NPI and electrical product engineering activities.
• Release bills of materials and new parts through engineering change orders.
• Analyze end-to-end manufacturing capacity and support future production planning.
• Collaborate with designers, suppliers, factories, and contract manufacturers to prototype, launch, and transition products to volume manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing failures with factory and engineering teams.
• Help define and improve manufacturing, validation, testing, and quality processes.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of high-tech manufacturing processes, NPI activities, and the product development lifecycle.
• Experience working with offshore contract manufacturers and launching complex electronics products.
• Experience analyzing manufacturing test data, performing failure and root-cause analysis, and coordinating prototype testing.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability, Design for Test, and Design for Assembly.
• Experience with BOM structures, BOM risk management, and PLM tools such as Arena or Agile.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and test engineering.
• Familiarity with server systems, server motherboards, PCIe card manufacturing, and testing.
• SMT process improvement, quality control, contract manufacturing gap assessment, and electrical engineering debugging experience.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, Cadence, Altium, CAD, additive manufacturing, 3D printing, or SolidWorks.
• Experience with ASIC or silicon development and technical documentation for manufacturing, rework, and deviation processes.
