Sr NPI Engineer (Power Conversion)

Location: Hybrid role requiring onsite work four days per week at the headquarters in Fremont, California, with frequent presence at the San Jose office.

Salary: $160,000–$175,000 annual salary for California, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead Design for Excellence initiatives focused on manufacturability, assembly, cost, reliability, and scalability.
• Develop and execute New Product Introduction project plans, tracking milestones, risks, and deliverables.
• Conduct DFM and DFA reviews with design and engineering teams to improve production readiness.
• Partner with suppliers and contract manufacturers to resolve technical challenges and optimize manufacturing processes.
• Establish testing and validation protocols and ensure compliance with quality and industry standards.
• Resolve bottlenecks across prototype, pilot, and production phases while maintaining process documentation, assembly guidelines, and SOPs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in New Product Introduction.
• Expertise in DFX principles, manufacturing processes, materials, and production scalability.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional technical projects while balancing timelines, quality, and cost.
• Background in high-volume production and global supply chain collaboration.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or equivalent project management tools; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
