PCBA Product Engineer (AI Hardware)

Location: Taiwan; physical presence during manufacturing builds is required.

What you will do

• Own PCBA readiness through EVT, DVT, PVT, and mass production for advanced AI accelerator boards.
• Lead DFM, DFA, and DFT reviews and partner with design engineering to reduce manufacturability risks.
• Validate SMT process windows with Taiwan PCB fabs and SMT partners, supporting builds and real-time issue resolution.
• Drive first-pass yield and DPPM improvements through root cause analysis, 8D, and RCCA methods.
• Support reliability validation, including thermal cycling, power cycling, and environmental stress testing.
• Establish documentation, control plans, ECO processes, traceability, production data visibility, and second-source strategies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PCBA product engineering, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience industrialising complex, high-density PCBAs from prototype to production.
• Strong knowledge of 12+ layer stackups, controlled impedance, HDI blind and buried vias, fine-pitch BGA assembly, and high-power board design considerations.
• Hands-on factory experience with Taiwan PCB fabs and SMT partners.
• Fluent Mandarin and English.
• Ability to work on the factory floor and solve manufacturing issues in real time.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI accelerators, GPUs, server boards, or high-performance computing.
• Exposure to PCIe, DDR, and high-current power rails.
• Experience scaling hardware from prototype to volume production.
• Experience in a startup or fast-growth hardware environment.
