Head of People

Location: New York City; strictly in-person five days a week at the SoHo headquarters. Relocation bonuses are available for out-of-state candidates.

Salary: $300,000–$325,000 annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own People Operations, Culture, and Talent strategy across the full employee lifecycle.
• Lead the Director of Talent and Culture Lead while setting an integrated talent and culture system.
• Design performance management frameworks, career ladders, review cycles, and performance improvement processes.
• Build culture programs, engagement measurement, internal communications, onboarding, offboarding, and team-building initiatives.
• Own talent strategy, hiring standards, interview processes, employer brand, headcount planning, and organizational design.
• Manage payroll, benefits, HRIS, leave administration, employment agreements, employee relations, and compliance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of People or HR experience at high-growth technology companies.
• Experience serving as the senior-most People leader or number two while scaling a company from approximately 50 to 200+ employees.
• Experience leading managers across at least two of People Operations, Talent, and Culture.
• Hands-on experience with payroll, benefits, employment and severance agreements, compliance, and employee relations.
• Deep working knowledge of New York State and NYC employment law and experience partnering with employment counsel.
• Strong judgment, communication, analytical thinking, confidentiality, and organizational psychology expertise.
