Head of People

Location: San Francisco, California; on-site

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Develop and execute a people strategy with the founders and leadership team.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, employee experience, performance management, and talent development.
• Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent strategy.
• Build people systems, policies, leadership development programs, and career growth frameworks.
• Coach managers, oversee employee relations, and strengthen engagement and culture as the organization scales.
• Manage immigration programs, people analytics, employment compliance, and the development of a high-performing People team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in People, Talent, or Human Resources.
• Experience leading People teams in a high-growth technology company; startup experience required.
• Success building and scaling people programs and organizational infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of recruiting, compensation, benefits, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development.
• Ability to influence and advise executive leadership, with excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform People decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience at a top-tier startup or scale-up.
• Experience building People teams from scratch.
• Knowledge of U.S., European, and Singapore employment law and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting international employees and immigration programs.
