Head of People

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $210,000–$240,000 base annually, plus annual bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Lead and scale the People function across recruiting, People Operations, employee experience, and strategic business partnership.
• Design and run onboarding, engagement, feedback, development, recognition, retention, performance management, and compensation programs.
• Own recruiting strategy, headcount planning, senior searches, hiring processes, and employer-brand partnership.
• Build scalable People infrastructure covering HR systems, policies, benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and workforce planning.
• Establish people analytics covering headcount, hiring funnel health, time-to-fill, attrition, engagement, performance, and compensation.
• Advise executives and department leaders on organization design, team health, succession, capability gaps, and organizational effectiveness.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in People leadership, recruiting, People Operations, HR business partnership, or related areas, including experience in high-growth environments.
• Experience leading a broad People function spanning recruiting, People Operations, employee experience, and business partnership.
• Track record of building scalable systems, processes, and programs from the ground up.
• Experience managing and coaching high-performing teams.
• Strong business judgment and experience connecting People strategy to company priorities, organizational needs, and financial realities.
• Excellent communication, discretion, accountability, and ability to operate strategically and tactically.
