Salary: $71,194–$94,154 USD per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

  • Serve as a point of contact between laboratory teams and facilities, responding to building and project-related requests.
  • Maintain laboratory spaces, including equipment moves, installations, cosmetic repairs, painting, and floor repairs.
  • Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, lighting, and other building systems.
  • Coordinate external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, HAZMAT removal, and facility projects.
  • Maintain inspection, repair, audit, inventory, calibration, and preventive-maintenance records.
  • Follow emergency protocols for power outages, water leaks, and equipment failures, including after-hours and weekend on-call response.

Requirements

  • Technical degree or certification and at least three years of hands-on experience in a high-tech electronics, optics laboratory, data center, or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facility-maintenance systems.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), data collection and analysis, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ability to use hand tools, perform small facility and laboratory repairs, read blueprints and technical specifications, and follow operating procedures.
  • Ability to perform physical and repetitive work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, stooping, and working overhead.
  • Employment is subject to U.S. export-control and government-contract requirements; candidates must meet applicable U.S. Person or authorization requirements.
