Field Service Technical Advisor, West Region (EV)

Location: Remote in California with 75%–85% travel within the continental United States, primarily across the West region. Coverage includes California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, Alaska, and Hawaii.

Salary: $83,461–$125,191 USD annual base pay.

What you will do

• Act as a regional liaison between hirify.global service facilities and Service, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Root-cause complex vehicle issues and recommend repair actions for field resolution.
• Provide on-site assistance and expert repair guidance to service facilities and technicians.
• Support high-voltage battery pack testing, repair, replacement, discharging, and power-up procedures.
• Investigate ECU software and calibration issues, collect data logs, and document findings for Engineering and suppliers.
• Coordinate parts escalations, warranty disputes, customer case escalations, service certification compliance, and repair strategy improvements.

Requirements

• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
• At least 3 years of hands-on automotive service and repair experience in a technician role.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with high-voltage electric vehicles, including diagnostics and testing.
• At least 3 years of hands-on automotive field technical support experience.
• Experience with diagnostic tools, data logging, ECU flash reprogramming, technical publications, wiring schematics, repair instructions, and troubleshooting trees.

Nice to have

• AAS in Automotive Technology or equivalent vocational training.
• OEM, ASE, or state certifications, including EV certification; Master Certification is preferred.
