Composite Technician (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Prepare molds and perform composite layup according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Bond components using epoxies and resins, including vacuum bagging processes.
• Trim, cut, drill, and assemble composite parts using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and molds.
• Handle composite materials, resins, and adhesives safely while maintaining an organized work area.
• Inspect and test composite assemblies, documenting defects and discrepancies.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality inspectors, and production colleagues to improve processes and maintain high-quality aerospace output.

Requirements

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Understand composite materials, resin systems, and adhesives.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments with precision.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and dexterity when handling small parts and tools.
• Work in environments requiring personal protective equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.

Nice to have

• Technical or vocational training in composite technology or aerospace manufacturing.
