Manufacturing Technician / Machine Operator (Composites)

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina, United States; onsite

Manufactures composite components and tooling for aerospace and defense clients as part of an industrial and engineering group focused on advanced manufacturing, engineering, automation, fabrication, assembly, and contract manufacturing.

What you will do

• Apply and understand resin systems including epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, and silicones.
• Perform hand-finishing operations on patterns and molds.
• Use hand tools for cutting, grinding, fitting, and assembly.
• Set up, bond, and fasten structural assemblies.
• Perform self-quality checks while working to tight tolerances.

Requirements

• Entry-level position with 1–3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret, and suggest improvements to standard operating procedures.
• Hands-on fabrication skills and experience using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and indicators.
• Experience with hand tools, adhesive bonding, and structural assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to have

• One year of experience working with composite materials such as carbon fiber, Kevlar, or fiberglass.
