Chief Operating Officer, Arrowhead Specialty (Specialty Insurance)

Salary: $300,000–$400,000 annual

What you will do

• Partner with the Division President and profit center leaders to set priorities, execute operating plans, and improve business and financial performance.
• Integrate acquired businesses and develop scalable operating models while preserving entrepreneurial cultures, specialization, and local market expertise.
• Strengthen financial planning, forecasting, reporting, performance measurement, and accountability across the portfolio.
• Oversee operational excellence, growth initiatives, acquisitions, carrier and capacity strategies, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities.
• Build relationships with capacity providers, distribution partners, and key clients while supporting profitable underwriting performance.
• Lead technology, data, automation, artificial intelligence, organizational change, succession planning, and teammate development initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in insurance, financial services, or related industries.
• Experience leading decentralized, multi-business organizations across multiple operating models or geographic locations.
• Demonstrated success integrating acquired businesses and leading large-scale organizational change.
• Strong knowledge of insurance distribution, delegated authority operations, underwriting, claims administration, reinsurance, captive structures, or related specialty insurance models.
• Ability to partner with Finance, Technology, Team Resources, Compliance, Legal, and other shared services functions.
