Product Development Manager - Industrials

Location: Newburyport, MA, with additional travel as needed to the facility in Devens, MA

Annual base salary: $135,800–$186,700

What you will do

• Own customer products from initial concept through serial production within the Industrials business unit.
• Lead cross-functional additive, post-processing, quality, automation, machining, and finishing engineering teams.
• Evaluate early-stage opportunities, define product introduction paths, and keep technical development on track.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing and Design for Additive Manufacturing principles across customer programs.
• Lead root cause investigations, data analysis, corrective and preventive actions, change orders, and process improvements.
• Oversee First Article Inspections and production launches across the Energy, Industrials, and Firearms verticals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in product or applications development.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Expert proficiency in advanced 3D CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
• Deep knowledge of GD&T, statistical process capability, tolerance stack-up analysis, and complex DFM/DfAM constraints.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including stakeholder alignment and engineering mentorship.
• Working knowledge of subtractive manufacturing operations including 5-axis milling, turning, and EDM.

Nice to have

• Experience with LPBF or similar additive manufacturing technology.
• Specialized experience with build-preparation tools such as Magics, nTopology, or Amphyon.
