Quality Engineer, Manufacturing

Salary: $110,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop quality procedures, work instructions, inspection plans, control plans, and quality metrics.
• Support the quality management system and define inspection requirements from engineering drawings.
• Select and implement inspection equipment, metrology tools, fixtures, and automated inspection methods.
• Lead first article inspections, process validation, and quality planning for new products.
• Analyze process performance, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce variation and defects.
• Support supplier quality activities, audits, material review board work, customer audits, and training for inspectors and production personnel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, development, or production engineering.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX, including manufacturing drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience building hardware.
• Experience with quality planning, process validation, root cause analysis, statistical methods, continuous improvement, inspection equipment, and measurement systems.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing quality engineering experience.
• Supplier quality, audit, and quality management system experience.
• Experience with PC-DMIS and Verisurf.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
