Project Manager (Heavy Civil Construction)

Location: On-site at Robot Ranch in Austin, Texas; relocation to Austin required if not within commuting distance

What you will do

• Plan, execute, and deliver heavy civil projects, including excavation, grading, and site preparation.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee job site operations and maximize the efficiency of automated and remote-controlled earth-moving equipment.
• Communicate project status and milestones to clients.
• Train, support, and manage equipment operators.
• Analyze project data, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, support estimating, and manage submittals through close-out.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of construction project management experience, including at least 1 year in earthworks or heavy civil construction.
• Experience managing heavy equipment and earth-moving projects with budgets from $50,000 to $20 million.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and budgeting tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
• Willingness to relocate to Austin, Texas if not within commuting distance, and to work extended hours or weekends when required.
