Project Manager (Commercial Construction)

Location: On-site in Asheville, North Carolina, United States; travel to project sites as required. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.

What you will do

• Manage multiple commercial construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, documentation, and cost controls.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, field personnel, and project stakeholders.
• Participate in preconstruction activities for Construction Management and Design-Build projects.
• Lead project meetings and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.
• Identify and resolve project risks, delays, quality issues, and field problems while ensuring safety compliance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schedules, specifications, and contracts.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with project scheduling, budget and cost management, contract administration, quality control, risk management, construction management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare, K-12, or higher education construction projects.
• Knowledge of Construction Management-at-Risk (CMaR) project delivery.
