TL;DR

hirify.global is developing and operating uranium enrichment services in the United States to restore domestic nuclear fuel production.

What you will do

  • Build, own, and continuously improve the Integrated Safety Analysis program under 10 CFR Part 70 Subpart H.
  • Set technical direction for ISA, IROFS, Management Measures, and the facility safety basis.
  • Lead the ISA Summary, Safety Analysis Report, license application materials, and responses to NRC requests.
  • Lead hazard identification, accident sequence modeling, consequence analysis, likelihood determination, and PHAs using HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA.
  • Oversee risk assessments covering nuclear criticality, chemical and fire hazards, natural phenomena, and external events.
  • Build and manage the ISA engineering and safety analysis team while partnering with engineering, operations, licensing, quality, and criticality safety teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, nuclear, or related engineering; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in nuclear safety analysis, process safety, or a comparable high-hazard environment, including 3+ years in a leadership or lead technical role.
  • Experience developing or materially contributing to an ISA, SAR, or equivalent safety basis.
  • Expertise in ISA and PHA methods, including HAZOP, What-If, and FMEA, with familiarity with criticality, fire, and external hazard analyses.
  • Experience working with regulators and translating complex requirements into executable programs.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Nice to have

  • Direct experience with NRC 10 CFR Part 70 licensing and guidance, including NUREG-1513 and NUREG-1520.
  • Experience with fuel-cycle facilities, enrichment operations, or nuclear chemical processes.
  • Experience building safety programs in startup, greenfield, or rapid-growth environments.
  • Knowledge of uranium enrichment technologies, vacuum systems, cryogenics, or compressible flow.
  • PE, CSP, NRC criticality safety qualification, or another relevant credential.
