Staff UEFI Engineer (UEFI/EDK2)

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of UEFI drivers and applications in the EDK2 framework for Intel- and AMD-based server platforms.
• Architect and optimize Host-to-BMC inter-processor communication using MCTP over MMBI, I2C, USB, or eSPI.
• Validate BIOS-side compliance for management and security features including I3C_MNG, I3C_DBG, and data filtering.
• Lead triage and debugging of low-level firmware issues across Intel, AMD, and Arm CPU platforms.
• Collaborate with ODM and OEM partners on ACPI, PCIe, and SMBIOS compliance.
• Drive implementation of Secure Boot and Platform Firmware Resilience capabilities.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in UEFI firmware development.
• Strong C and C++ programming skills for firmware development.
• Deep knowledge of x86 architecture, ACPI, PCIe, VGA, and memory management.
• Experience with Host-to-BMC communication protocols and SMBIOS/ACPI table handoffs.
• Expertise in Secure Boot, TPM 2.0, NIST SP 800-193, secure flash updates, and firmware integrity checks.
• Hands-on EDK2 development experience, remote debugging skills, and firmware validation experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with CRB features for Intel and AMD server platforms.
• Knowledge of Redfish or MCTP/PLDM interactions in UEFI.
• Familiarity with UEFI-level interactions for AI servers.
