Senior Corporate Engineering & AI Systems Engineer (AI): Building a secure internal platform that connects AI models with enterprise systems and enables background agents and shared automations with an accent on identity-aware access, workflow orchestration, and fintech governance. Focus on shipping production LLM systems, designing auditable integrations, and building reliable human-in-the-loop agents for high-impact internal workflows.
Location: Remote candidates must be based in Canada; hybrid work with in-office collaboration days in Toronto and occasional travel to Toronto is required.

What you will do
- Build a secure, governed harness connecting LLMs and AI systems to Slack, Google Workspace, Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, and 's product.
- Develop background agents that execute multi-step workflows with tool routing, memory, retries, approvals, escalation, and audit trails.
- Build a platform for composing, running, and sharing automations across the organization.
- Embed with non-technical teams to discover workflows, define measurable evaluations, and ship automation systems.
- Instrument reliability and cost, while owning identity, permissions, prompt-injection defense, and privacy guardrails with Security and Risk.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including internal platforms or tools that measurably increased team output.
- 1–2+ years building production LLM-powered systems with real users and reliability requirements.
- Strong production Python and/or TypeScript skills, plus the ability to build usable interfaces when needed.
- Practical expertise in tool use, function calling, orchestration, context engineering, structured outputs, memory, and background-agent patterns.
- Experience with enterprise integrations and authentication, including REST, webhooks, event-driven systems, OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Cloud fluency with AWS and experience with CI/CD, observability, security, governance, and cost controls.
Nice to have
- Experience with Claude Agent SDK, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, Pydantic AI, and MCP server design.
- Durable execution or workflow orchestration experience, such as Temporal.
- Corporate engineering, identity-provider, ITSM, SaaS administration, or iPaaS experience.
- Fintech or regulated-industry experience, including familiarity with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 for AI systems.
- Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or Copilot.
