Senior AI Developer (LLM)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; hybrid with 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Build and operate reliable, low-latency, cost-efficient production systems for serving LLMs, VLMs, and other multimodal models at scale.
• Develop offline and online evaluation and validation pipelines covering reasoning quality, model behavior, hallucination risk, policy compliance, latency, and regressions.
• Build infrastructure for reasoning-agent orchestration, state management, tool execution, guardrails, and supporting backend services.
• Design telemetry and observability systems with dashboards, traces, logs, alerts, and performance analytics for model inference and agent workflows.
• Optimize throughput, capacity, model routing, fallback behavior, reliability, and infrastructure utilization for millions of active users.
• Implement security controls, access patterns, and operational safeguards for responsible production use of generative AI systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing and operating cloud services, infrastructure, and APIs in production, ideally with AWS.
• Experience deploying and operating production ML systems, especially LLMs, VLMs, or other large-scale model systems.
• Experience with observability tooling, CI/CD, and deployment workflows across development, staging, and production environments.
• Experience with agent and LLM tooling such as LangSmith, LangChain, LangGraph, or MLflow, as well as GPU-backed inference and hosted model APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS or EKS, workflow orchestration, Databricks, IAM, secrets management, encryption, Terraform, and agent infrastructure.
