Principal Sourcing Manager (Silicon Technologies)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Base salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year, depending on experience, level, and business need. Discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits may also apply.

What you will do

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for foundries, OSATs, substrates, test houses, and other silicon supply-chain categories.
• Analyze industry trends, supplier capabilities, cost structures, and technology differentiation to identify savings and risk-mitigation opportunities.
• Build should-cost models, total-cost-of-ownership analyses, and financial assessments for strategic deals.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution for NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, licensing agreements, capacity reservations, and other service contracts.
• Drive supplier relationship management programs covering performance, compliance, financial health, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with R&D and engineering teams to align supplier technology decisions and sourcing plans with product roadmaps and development timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical sourcing, procurement, or supplier management within the semiconductor or cloud infrastructure industry.
• Strong understanding of technology trends in data center infrastructure and the ability to evaluate emerging technologies and suppliers quickly.
• Experience leading complex negotiations, including capacity reservation agreements and SOWs, and managing supplier relationships across global teams.
• Strong analytical, financial modeling, contract management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
• Direct experience working with foundries, OSATs, and test houses.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
