Networking Hardware Sourcing Role

Location: Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or U.S. Remote. Location type: On-site.

Salary: $155,000–$199,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Source networking hardware at scale from major OEMs, including switches, routers, and DPUs.
• Qualify and dual-source critical equipment categories for large accelerator clusters.
• Negotiate supply agreements covering price, lead times, and roadmap access.
• Manage end-of-life and hardware generation transitions without stranding inventory or delaying builds.
• Coordinate buy plans with network engineering roadmaps and equipment requirements.
• Keep firmware, licensing, and support terms aligned with procurement agreements.

Requirements

• Experience sourcing networking hardware at scale from major OEMs.
• Experience managing end-of-life and generation transitions.
• Technical understanding of optics, ASICs, and port speeds sufficient for supplier and product-team negotiations.
• Experience managing qualification requirements created by dual sourcing.
• Ability to work with network engineering teams and align procurement with hardware roadmaps.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI or HPC fabric hardware.
• Experience with white-box and ODM switching.
• Knowledge of optics supply chains.
• Experience with vendor financing structures.
