Manufacturing Systems Engineer (Medical)

Location: Devens, MA, United States

Salary: $76,600–$105,300 annual base salary, plus equity package.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Methods of Manufacture, travelers, routers, work instructions, and other manufacturing execution documentation for NPI, product changes, transfers, and scale-up.
• Translate engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and customer requirements into executable shop floor documentation with operations, inspection points, acceptance criteria, and traceability.
• Support pilot, first article, and validation builds, launch readiness reviews, root cause investigations, and documentation gap closure.
• Coordinate part number, BOM, routing, and master data creation across Epicor, MES, and related systems.
• Define production, inspection, traceability, nonconformance, and DHR/LHR data requirements and support system workflows.
• Coordinate testing, UAT, validation, training, integration, and launch readiness across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, IT, and Production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, Operations, Information Systems, or equivalent related experience.
• 3+ years of experience in NPI, manufacturing engineering, or manufacturing systems.
• Experience creating and maintaining manufacturing travelers, routers, work instructions, Methods of Manufacture, or equivalent shop floor documents.
• Experience with ERP, MES, PLM, QMS, or related manufacturing data systems, including part numbers, BOMs, routings, item masters, inventory transactions, and traceability.
• Ability to translate engineering and process requirements into manufacturing documentation and system requirements, with strong cross-functional communication and documentation discipline.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical devices, aerospace, defense, automotive, or pharma, with familiarity with FDA QSR, ISO 13485, AS9100, or similar standards.
