Senior Electrical Engineer (Nuclear Power)

What you will do

• Lead routing, component selection, and integration of modular connectors for high-current, low-voltage distribution systems.
• Deliver electrical engineering designs that meet technical, quality, and performance goals while supporting rapid iteration.
• Collaborate with mechanical, civil, and structural engineers to integrate electrical systems across the power plant architecture.
• Provide hands-on construction and commissioning support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, QA/QC, and field troubleshooting.
• Oversee and mentor engineers conducting load flow, voltage drop, and protective coordination analyses.
• Interface with utilities, developers, and EPCs to align engineering execution with deployment needs and simplify designs for manufacturing, testing, and installation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience designing electrical engineering systems.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Experience selecting equipment and materials and preparing engineering change packages, calculations, and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, Texas.

• Experience in power plants, data centers, or electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
