Electrical Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: Full-time, site-based role in St. Francisville, Louisiana or Corpus Christi, Texas

What you will do

• Review MV/LV one-lines, equipment layouts, raceway and circuiting designs from the substation interface through the rack.
• Validate short-circuit, protective device coordination, arc-flash, and load-flow studies using SKM or ETAP.
• Review electrical equipment submittals, track technical exceptions, witness factory acceptance tests, and reconcile settings and nameplate data.
• Support construction by answering electrical RFIs, reviewing field changes, and inspecting equipment setting, terminations, and grounding.
• Review commissioning procedures and scripts, witness relay, load-bank, UPS, generator, and integrated systems tests, and drive punch-list issues to closure.
• Contribute to electrical design standards, specifications, typical details, and project lessons learned.

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical design or owner's-side electrical review experience in data centers, mission-critical facilities, or comparable environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; PE license preferred.
• Deep knowledge of MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS topologies, redundancy designs, and critical-power one-line conventions.
• Hands-on experience validating power system studies in SKM or ETAP, including checking inputs and resolving discrepancies.
• Fluency with NEC, IEEE, NETA acceptance testing standards, arc-flash analysis, and NFPA 70E requirements.
• Experience with major electrical equipment submittals, factory acceptance testing, and Levels 1-5 commissioning in mission-critical environments.
