Engineering Staff I

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio or Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, United States

Salary: $65,000–$75,000 per year

What you will do

• Support civil infrastructure projects involving roadway design, stormwater and drainage improvements, utilities, sidewalks, bikeways, and private development.
• Prepare engineering plans, drawings, technical specifications, reports, permit packages, and construction cost estimates.
• Perform stormwater drainage calculations, grading volume computations, drainage analysis, and basic structural checks.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, and related software to model terrain, design infrastructure, and organize engineering data.
• Support construction administration through site inspections, progress documentation, field responses, closeout documentation, and as-built drawings.
• Collaborate across municipal infrastructure, land development, and environmental consulting projects under the supervision of licensed engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 0–2 years of experience in land development civil-site engineering.
• Familiarity with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling software.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; experience with ArcGIS is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• EIT certification is preferred.
