Salary: $90,000–$175,000 annually

What you will do

• Prepare and modify engineering reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates, and design documents using civil engineering and design software.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrology, topography, and geology to support facility planning and site development.
• Lead civil permitting processes and coordinate with regulatory agencies, municipalities, environmental consultants, EPC project managers, construction teams, and subcontractors.
• Develop site safety activity plans and coordinate field work, site observations, RFIs, and submittals.
• Conduct civil engineering risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for hydrology, grading, and flood-zone constraints.
• Review detailed engineering documents and specifications for quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of industry experience and EPC project experience.
• Expertise in engineering techniques and tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM, Revit, Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD, and hydraulic or hydrologic analysis programs.
• Experience leading discipline design for large projects, delegating tasks, resolving technical issues, and working collaboratively.
• Strong quantitative problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, and quality-review skills.
• Ability to travel and work extended hours or weekends when necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with large-scale, mission-critical construction projects and unique facility design conditions.
• Construction administration, cost estimating, and local or state code compliance experience.
• Experience working in fast-paced, highly technical, or entrepreneurial engineering environments.
• Evidence of exceptional ability through prior projects, portfolios, or completed products.
