Salary: $131,828–$171,206 per year, with the range specific to Washington State.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documents, procedures, plans, guides, templates, and training materials.
  • Implement and improve requirements management processes, tools, and verification and validation activities.
  • Coordinate plant, system, and component requirements with internal design teams, external vendors, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Support integrated design control, configuration management, quality assurance, and engineering process integration.
  • Monitor design organizations and partners for adherence to established engineering standards and project processes.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve deficiencies in process and tool implementation across complex design activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in systems or integrated product design.
  • Experience applying configuration management principles through engineering processes and tools.
  • Experience with systems engineering, requirements management, and verification and validation processes.
  • Process improvement experience, including approaches such as Six Sigma, value engineering, Lean, or TQM.
  • Experience working to design quality standards such as ASME NQA-1 or ISO 9001; relevant nuclear industry experience may be required.
  • Strong technical writing, communication, presentation, coordination, and team leadership skills with minimal direction.

  • Project management experience.
  • Experience communicating across internal and external organizational boundaries on large, complex construction projects.
