Receiving & Inspection Technician (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform receiving inspections on parts, raw materials, and equipment against purchase orders, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, and provide basic CMM support to verify dimensional and visual conformance.
• Verify and record certifications, material test reports, heat and lot numbers, and other traceability documentation for nuclear-grade materials.
• Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material and route it through the nonconformance process.
• Maintain receiving and inspection records in the ERP/MRP system, and stage, label, and kit materials for manufacturing, stores, or quarantine.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Quality, and Engineering on discrepancies, shortages, damaged shipments, and recurring supplier issues.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in receiving inspection, quality control, or a manufacturing, warehouse, or startup environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, and basic GD&T callouts.
• Working knowledge of standard inspection equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Comfort using ERP/MRP systems and performing basic data entry.
• Extremely high attention to detail and ownership of documentation accuracy.
• Ability to lift and move materials during routine receiving and staging work.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent educational background.
• Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
