Manufacturing Technician I

Location: Decatur, Texas, United States; onsite manufacturing work

Manufacturing specialty materials and production equipment for silicon carbide, graphite, and related applications.

What you will do

• Operate furnaces, drying ovens, impregnation equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing machines.
• Load and unload furnaces and impregnation vessels and process billets and machined parts for silicon carbide and graphite production.
• Perform quality checks, visual inspections, and production recordkeeping.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and support routine and preventive maintenance.
• Follow SOPs and safety procedures while identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and other operators on troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical or technical manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, climb ladders using a three-point grip, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and wear a full-mask respirator with a clean-shaven appearance for proper fit.
• Capacity to comply with federally mandated U.S. export control requirements.
