Location: Devens, Massachusetts, United States; on-site, MondayβFriday, 11:00 pmβ7:30 am
Salary: $80,000β$130,000 per year, including a 15% shift differential. A separate compensation statement lists $70,000β$120,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do
- Develop, refine, qualify, and document advanced mechanical inspection methods for complex hardware.
- Partner with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, and R&D to support production readiness and resolve issues.
- Evaluate metrology equipment and technologies, including capability, ROI, and implementation planning.
- Maintain metrology equipment and standards, including calibration, verification, and 5S activities.
- Provide design-for-inspection input for drawings, GD&T definitions, inspection standards, fixturing, and tooling.
- Present dimensional inspection results and cross-train as a Quality Technician to support routine inspections and throughput.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 3β5 years of manufacturing, production, or field experience.
- Experience developing advanced metrology or inspection techniques and programming metrology or manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and apply GD&T; working knowledge of machining, fabrication, and quality systems.
- CMM programming experience, preferably with ZEISS Calypso, plus experience with portable metrology equipment such as Creaform, laser trackers, or CMM arms.
- CAD design experience, preferably with Siemens NX, and strong communication skills for presenting technical information.
Nice to have
- PolyWorks Inspector and broad experience with metrology equipment and measurement methods.
- Experience creating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
- Statistical quality tools such as gage R&R and DOE.
- Quality experience in aerospace, medical, or another regulated industry.
- ERP/MES experience or field metrology experience.
