IOP/PSC Team Lead (Phlebotomy)

Location: Remote setting with required travel of up to 50%; position based in Houston, TX

What you will do

• Support daily operations for the Phlebotomy Solutions team and coordinate patient care, phlebotomy services, and administrative activities.
• Supervise, mentor, recruit, onboard, and train in-office phlebotomists across designated locations.
• Coordinate and execute audits, conduct quality checks, and prepare for onsite visits and staff shadowing.
• Ensure compliance with specimen handling protocols, clinical safety standards, and EMR documentation requirements.
• Partner with Field Sales, Clinical Operations, and Compliance to resolve operational issues and maintain cohesive patient support.
• Oversee supply ordering and tracking, identify performance risks, and support team meetings and best-practice sharing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certificate required according to applicable state regulations.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, time-management, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with clinical compliance standards and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% for audits, site visits, and team support.
