SVP, Medical Affairs (Biotech)

Location: Hybrid role based in Bridgewater, New Jersey, United States

Base pay: $389,454–$511,158 USD annually, plus performance-based bonus and/or equity for eligible roles.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global Medical Affairs vision, strategy, and operating model for CARVYKTI and the broader pipeline.
• Lead lifecycle management, evidence generation, publications, scientific communications, medical launch excellence, and external medical engagement.
• Partner with R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, Safety, Market Access, Clinical Development, Johnson & Johnson, and other stakeholders to shape product strategy.
• Build and lead a high-performing organization across Medical Strategy, Field Medical, Medical Communications, Evidence Generation, Medical Operations, and Medical Excellence.
• Develop talent, succession planning, leadership development, and organizational capabilities for current and future programs.
• Drive transformation through digital innovation, omnichannel engagement, advanced analytics, governance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree required; board certification and oncology or hematology experience strongly preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related biopharmaceutical roles.
• Significant global leadership experience in oncology, hematology, cell therapy, or specialty biopharmaceuticals.
• Experience with field medical, scientific communications, publications, evidence generation, external engagement, product launches, and lifecycle management.
• Experience working across global partnerships, complex matrix organizations, and cross-functional leadership teams.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility is verified through Form I-9 and E-Verify.

Nice to have

• Prior experience supporting NDA/BLA submissions, launches, and post-launch lifecycle strategies.
• Established relationships in oncology and hematology, particularly multiple myeloma or cellular therapy.
• Board certification and expertise in oncology or hematology.
