What you will do

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks, identify patients, verify requisitions, and collect blood specimens.
• Manage patient service center operations, including scheduling, draw distribution, specimen tracking, supplies, equipment, and vendors.
• Maintain specimen integrity, quality-control records, testing schedules, KPIs, and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Resolve unusual or incomplete test orders by coordinating with physicians, pathologists, nursing stations, reference laboratories, and internal teams.
• Support the phlebotomy program by onboarding, training, and retraining phlebotomists and managing customer feedback and small escalations.
• Handle PHI and complete HIPAA, policy compliance, and security training within the first 30 days.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• At least 5 years of high-level customer care experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• General knowledge of phlebotomy and mobile phlebotomy services.
• Ability to follow professional, hospital, federal, state, local, and JCAHO standards.
• A current phlebotomy license must be submitted with the application if required by the candidate's state.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or supervising phlebotomy operations and teams.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent, where not mandated by regulation.
• Financial and budgetary experience.
• Bilingual language skills.
